Plex, tuned to the artwork.

PlexTune restyles the Plex web app with editorial type, depth and motion, and an accent colour that follows the poster on screen. It runs in your browser through Stylus and Tampermonkey. Nothing is installed on the Plex server.

Reads the artwork with Vibrant.js and feeds three colour slots to the style. Tampermonkey shows an Install page.

Install in four steps

  1. Use a dedicated Chrome profile for Plex, and add Stylus and Tampermonkey from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Open the userstyle and click Install in Stylus.
  3. Open the userscript and click Install in Tampermonkey.
  4. Go to app.plex.tv/desktop. Open any title and the accent colour follows its artwork.
